Blue Oval would be launching their 2011 Ford F150 SVT Raptor SuperCrew. This is going to be one more in their lineup of pickup trucks. The car has been built in the off road version and with its additional technology and towing ability this vehicle is going to add to the popularity of the company in the pickup vehicles category.
For performance the vehicle is fitted with 6.2 liter V 8 engine which had been an optional fit previously with the standard fit being the 5.4 liter V8 engine. The present engine builds 411 hp and 434 lb ft of torque. This makes the Raptor the most powerful half ton pickup vehicle in the market.
Adding to its versatility is the fact that the Raptor in its 2011 model version would have the SuperCrew option. The feat of adding the SuperCrew option is in itself an achievement. The wheel base of the Raptor is 145 inch and has a 5.5 foot box. However the Raptor SuperCrew had to match in prowess with the smaller SuperCab model for it’s off road performance statistics. There is also the larger fuel tank of 36 gallon and the capability to tow 8,000 pounds which are additional advantages of the Raptor SuperCrew model.
The interior has a standard 4.2 inch LCD screen which gives complete display of the towing operations. A five way button fitted on the steering wheel is the navigation tool for the towing menu. The display screen itself is placed between the tachometer and speedometer. The Raptor has a six speed automatic transmission system which is controlled by SelectShift Pseudo manual control.
There is also the Raptor Plus Package being offered with the 2011 model where one gets the rear view camera and a trailer brake control added to the vehicle. The package also includes exterior mirrors which can be folded and a remote start system. The vehicle gets an Ingot Silver Metallic color finish and has new graphics on its body.
While orders for the 2011 Ford F-150 SVT Raptor has already started, the actual delivery is expected to commence from end of the year.
