There has been talk about the sub-Quattroporte and the Maserati of tomorrow with its engine reduction technology. The Maseratti in its present form though has been on display at the Australian International Auto Show.
Equipped with the MC Sportline package the Maserati Quattroporte Sport GTS is called the Maserati Quattroporte Sport GT S MC Sportline. This package had also been applied on the Gran Turismio S model. The number of Maserati Quattroporte Sport GTS to be produced has not yet been declared but going by the number of GranTurismo S that had been produced it is expected that this special edition also would be numbered to 12 only.
Carbon fiber has been used for the existing wood trim on the car. The material has been used across the dashboard, the front and rear center consoles, sections of the door panels, the gear knob, and around the switchgear. Carbon fiber has also been used on the area around the instrument pack and on the gear change paddles. Carbon fiber trim panels adorn each of the door sills and they are embossed with the MC Sport Line logo while the MC logo is stamped into the aluminum brake pedal.
The engine being used is the same as the standard fit which is a 4.7 liter V8 and is mated to a sequential auto transmission gear system. There is a smart mode for the gear system and this makes gear shifting a faster and smoother process. The engine power is 440 hp and peak torque is 490 Nm while top speed of the car remains at 177 mph.
