The new Audi A6 2012 Review

The new Audi A6, is a step forward in technology and design, bringing together loads of features which eases every driver’s trip.

This model is bigger – 4.94 meters long (16.21 ft), 1.90 meters wide (6.23 ft) and 1.47 meters tall (4.82 ft) making it a little bigger than the Audi Avant. Its construction is defined by Audi Light-weight materials, a principle which is familiar to the sedan. The aluminium components make the model 20 percent more strong. Despite its massive construction, this model is lighter with 70 kilograms (154 lb) which makes it lighter than its predecessor.

The new A6 allroad quattro is available with a choice of four powerful V6 engines: one TFSI gasoline engine and three TDI units with turbocharging and direct injection. The new engine assures a fuel consumption reduced by 20 percent.
The 3.0 TFSI, which is boosted by a mechanically driven compressor, produces 228 kW (310 hp) and 440 Nm (324.53 lb-ft) of torque, accelerating from zero to 100 km/h (62.14 mph) in 5.9 seconds.

The three types of the 3.0 TDI produce 150 kW (204 hp), 180 kW (245 hp) and 230 kW (313 hp); torque values are 450, 580 and 650 Nm (331.90, 427.79 and 479.42 lb-ft).
The 3.0 TDI engine developes 230 kW (313 hp), making this engine one of Audi’s most powerful engine from the TDI series. This TDI engine delivers its power to a smooth and fast-shifting eight-speed tiptronic transmission.

Despite the fact that it is a luxury car, the designers managed to give it a sporty distinctive road stance. Into the new model, we can also find the new LED technology introduced from the headlights to the tail lights.
The underbody from the front and the rear end of the car is protected by a stainless steel cover and the exhaust system ends in two large tailpipes.

Despite its powerful chassis it combines both sportiness and comfort.

The suspension is adaptive which combines air suspension with controlled damping, a feature that comes as standard.
The new Audi A6 includes 18-inch wheels as standard and as optional you can choose from 19- inch to 20 – inch wheels.
