At this year’s Paris Motor Show, Maserati is set to bring a new sports car “that opens up new frontiers in terms of exclusiveness, performance and style,” according to the Italian automaker.

Its a next rival to the Porsche 911 that’s what everyone says, and that its definitely going to be called the sister to the Ferrari 458!

In all, six new models from Maserati will be available, of them the new Maserati is likely to make the debut in a concept form ahead of an unknown-sale date, which is not expected to be around in near future, which possibly will be as a direct replacement for the 2+2 seater GranTurismo coupe in the Trident badge’s line-up.

If sources are to be believed then the GranSport name will once again come up,and will sport plenty of lightweight carbon fiber in its construction, while using a mid-engine, rear-wheel drive layout.
But if the sources are to be believed then it is said that everyone would be putting up their money at the all new twin turbo V6 engine, which will be developed by Ferrari!

The bi-turbo V6 engine, would be putting out about 330kW, which would be mated to a seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox that would be the company’s first use of the quick-shifting transmission and which will be borrowed from Ferrari.
They have an target,of reducing weight of about 1200kg, with that sub-4.0-second performance would be guaranteed.

The two-seater sports car is part of Maserati’s grand plans to boost annual sales volumes.
A Maserati SUV will also launch in 2014 as a crucial model. It was previewed as long ago as 2003 by the Maserati Kubang concept and is expected to be called the Cinqueporte (five doors).
The next-generation Maserati Quattroporte (four doors) sedan is due in 2013.

Well as of now, no details about the Pricing or any other details are out, so lets just wait for the launch of the new Italian Breed, and i am sure it will definitely be worth a wait!
