Authorities state 4 teenagers remained in a vehicle that was traveling almost 130 miles per hour before it flipped and struck into a utility pole in the Gibsonton location Tuesday early morning.

2 of the teenagers were ejected from the car. Troopers state they discovered marijuana and alcohols inside the car.

Investigators state around 12:23 a.m., a Florida Highway Patrol trooper in an unmarked car saw the 2004 Nissan Maxima driving southbound on Interstate-75 at nearly 130 miles per hour speed. The Nissan’s headlights were not switched on.

The Nissan passed the FHP trooper, who tried to pull over the speeding vehicle as it left I-75 at the Gibsonton Drive exit. once on the exit ramp, the motorist of the Nissan lost control of the automobile, which left the roadway and went onto the outdoors shoulder.

The Nissan then reversed several times before hitting a tree zone and after that a utility pole.

The motorist of the Nissan, 18-year-old Tyler Wilkinson, and traveler Keely Nicole Faircloth, 19, were ejected from the automobile. They were not using safety belt. Faircloth, of Riverview, and Wilkinson, of Lithia, both suffered major injuries.

Michael Wayne Osborne, 18, of Riverview, and a 17-year-old woman likewise from Riverview suffered small injuries. They were using safety belt.

Troopers informed they discovered alcohol and cannabis in the car and think that the crash was alcohol associated. Charges are pending the result of the investigation.
