Although there is not too much hype about it, it turns out that the South Korean automaker, KIA, has actually been getting some official images of its upcoming KX3 model ready. Well, the company has not quite exactly released those official images but they are now spread all across the World Wide Web. So, what will the South Korean vehicle actually look like?
After taking a close look at some of the official images of the car, it can be seen that the KX3 from KIA will be based on the Hyundai ix25 for its chassis. Yet, as for the visual design, it will heavily borrow styling cues from the company’s KX3 concept version. Introduced to the public for the very first time back in November 2014 at the Guangzhou Auto Show event, the upcoming KX3 is set to make bow in the country of China. Unlike the concept version of the vehicle, the final production version will come with new fog lamps at the front fascia. Yet, at the rear fascia, the car sports a rather unique exhaust layout.
As for the atmosphere inside the cabin of the vehicle, the cockpit looks quite familiar, thanks to its 3-spoke steering wheel wrapped in the leather material, lacquered trim and upholstery covered in brown leather.
The KIA KX3 will reportedly feature a 1.6L petrol engine, either naturally aspirated or turbocharged. The former will boast 123 hp of power and 151 Nm of torque while the latter should deliver 200 hp and 264 Nm of power and torque. The latter will also be backed by a 7-speed dual clutch transmission.
It is also said that the KIA KX3 will come offering a number of luxury amenities, such as, automatic climate control, keyless entry, a parking camera at the rear end of the car and also a panoramic sunroof.
