Ford has released first details about a new limited edition Focus RS500, which marks the end of current Focus RS production.
2.5-liter 5-cylinder engine produces an impressive 345 horsepower(15 percent more than the standard Focus RS) and 460 Nm of torque, which are sent to front wheels.
Focus RS500 exterior highlights are a unique matt black ‘foil’ paint finish with matching alloy wheels, RS badges, rear spoiler, and red brake calipers behind these 19-inch wheels.
Each car will carry a metal plaque on the centre console, hand-engraved with a unique identification number from 001 to 500.
Interior features a special red colour scheme, notably on the stitching of the leather trim on the steering wheel, door trim and gear lever gaiter, and on the floor mats.
0-00 km/h comes in just 5.6 seconds and max speed is 265 km/h (165 mph).
Other highlights are: Dual-zone automatic climate control, Heated windscreen, Rear parking distance sensors, Tire deflation detection system, Automatic headlights and rain-sensing wipers, Auto dimming rear-view mirror, Ford key-free start, Enhanced connectivity with Bluetooth®, voice control and USB port, Sony 6-CD audio system, and Recaro sports front seats with partial leather trim.
Production is limited to just 500 cars and global debut is on April 9th at the 2010 Leipzig Motor Show. All 500 cars will be sold in Europe so North American customers can only dream about owning this ultimate Focus.
