But the driver, identified by police as Randy Lee Cooper, struck into an occupied Buick Regal, and then he was taken into custody.

Officers then learned the Buick had also been stolen in an incident unrelated to this one, reported about three weeks ago, police said.

The Buick driver, 25-year-old Newberg resident Kristin Nicole Begue, was arrested as well. She is charged with driving under the influence of intoxicants and unauthorized use of a motor vehicle.

Cooper, a 27-year-old Portland resident, is alleged of charges including unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, attempting to evade police, assault and reckless driving, according to police.

Both are not listed on the Yamhill County Jail roster.
