Pininfarina Cambiano Concept – Review Part 2

The range in all-electric mode is rated at 130 miles, and by using both of the power sources, it goes as high as 500 miles before needing to get a Diesel refill. The battery charges from the turbine and from brake energy, but can also be recharged from home in about six hours. The CO2 emissions are only 72 grams per mile.

There’s no need in pointing out that the design looks great, since Pininfarina won’t have it any other way. An interesting feature is the massive 21-inch alloy wheels.

The inside gets nice wooden floors, and an eccentric looking steering wheel. There are three panels that provide information to the driver, one of them being the digital speedometer.

I explained in the first part of this article that the Pininfarina Cambiano was initially meant to be revealed at the Geneva Motor Show. Since they gave us some information earlier we decided to review the car now, but we’ll probably find out more in a couple of days in Switzerland.
