One of the best things about sport utility vehicles (SUVs) is that their owners can usually take them to conquer off-road terrains. However, it seems that not all of the SUVs available out there actually have off-roading capabilities. Take this Porsche Cayenne in particular as a good example.
Recently, a video has emerged on the internet showing how a Porsche Cayenne SUV is inferior to a river. In the video, it can be seen that the car owner simply drives the car towards a river and does not let go of the gas pedal before the vehicle actually jumps into the water. Either the driver is determined or completely silly, he kept on flooring the gas pedal as the car heads towards the part of the river at which point the water level is even higher. Unfortunately, the driver seems to be forgetting something. He has not installed optional aftermarket parts that are required for his car to be able to conquer such a terrain.
To make things even worse, it seems that the guy driving the Porsche in the video actually does not have any basic off-roading skills, either. He does not even bother to measure just how deep the river may be. As a result, his beloved SUV becomes stalled in the river. A possible explanation here is that the engine experiences a hydrolocking issue. This means that the combustion chamber is flooded with water from the river. For your information, it is not normally easy for a car engine to compress water or other types of fluids. As a result, the engine cylinders are unable to perform full cycles, if any.
According to the latest reports from witnesses to the event, the driver of the car actually tried to rev the engine while trying to get the luxury German SUV out of the river. Yet, unfortunately enough for the driver, the engine went off instead.
