Report: Skoda Octavia four-door coupe concept set for Geneva arrival

by SpeedLux

British media has recently reported that Skoda has plans to showcase a four-door coupe concept of the Octavia at the Geneva Motor Show in March 2014.

The third-gen Octavia is currently offered in liftback and combi body styles but chances are that a four-door coupe will be added to the range for the first time in the car’s existence. A preview concept will allegedly be exhibited in Geneva in March next year and is expected to adopt a considerably sharper design with triangular headlights and a more aggressive crease running along the sides of the car.

It will ride on the same MQB platform as the standard Octavia and will have an identical wheelbase of 2686mm. It is now expected to look more attractive thanks to the sloping roofline which as expected will have a negative impact on rear headroom. However the cargo capacity will not be affected that much as it should stand at about 1,500 liters with the rear seats folded.

We will have to wait for more details to be revealed as the launch date comes nearer.
