Lamborghini launches another frustrating Gallardo successor teaser (video)

by SpeedLux

Lamborghini has recently released yet another annoying teaser clip for the upcoming Gallardo replacement.

First came the Episode 1 entitled “The Plan” that started to tell the story of three friends who decided to travel to Lamborghini’s headquarters in Sant’Agata Bolognese to grab an early view of the Gallardo successor. Then in Episode 2 “No Turning Back” we get to see the trio taking a guided tour and at one moment they manage to get through a back door to start their search for the new model.

In any of the videos the baby Lamborghini doesn’t get revealed but it is believed that the vehicle will look a lot like the attached render. A recent report also indicates that the car will not have scissor doors and won’t receive the rumored “Cabrera” moniker. Also, the entry-level model will allegedly have Miura-like grilles across the rear window while the back will look a lot like the Aventador.

Motivation may be provided by a naturally-aspirated V10 5.2-liter engine outputting around 600 hp (447 kW) sent to both axles through a 7-speed dual-clutch gearbox. This hardware setup should enable the Gallardo successor to accelerate to 62 mph (100 kmph) in just around 3.2 seconds.
