A recent report has indicated that Volvo Australia is pushing the company to develop more Polestar variants.
The V60 Polestar has been caught under the lens earlier undergoing testing at the tracks of Nürburgring but now the Aussie company is reportedly pushing for a high-performance V40 to the tackle the Volkswagen Golf R.
When asked about the possibility of a V40 Polestar in an interview, Volvo Australia Managing Director Matt Braid said that he was of the opinion that the car certainly would work and that segment certainly would as well. He further stated that the company was the pilot market for Polestar variants and they would surely put their hand up for anything that came on the way from those guys.
Well we cannot say that it is very clear or confirmatory of more Polestar variants but a report from one of the auto magazine states that the model is quite likely going to get a turbocharged 2.0-liter T5 engine as it can be tuned to generate an output of more than 272 HP (200 kW) and 400 Nm (295 lb-ft) of torque.
