We have already talked about the 350 hp Genesis Coupe by GReddy Performance Parts, which will be shown at this year’s SEMA show.
Hyundai has announced, that another, more powerful Genesis Coupe will be converted for the show by Rhys Millen Racing.
Rhys Millen Racing has fitted the Hyundai Genesis Coupe with the 4.6-liter Tau V8 from Genesis sedan to develop the RM460 Genesis Coupe.
The mid-engine configuration and enhancements create a 500-horsepower sports car, that has a top speed of 182 mph (292 km/h). Not bad for a Hyundai!
Rhys Millen commented that by placing the Tau V8 in the middle of the Genesis Coupe’s architecture will improve vehicle handling, acceleration and braking and enhance the already dynamic driving experience.
As the Tau V8 engine is mid-positioned, there is no original back seat. There is a rear glass hatch conversion for better access to the engine.
The stock transmission is replaced with a Mendeola five-speed sequential gearbox. Stock suspension is upgraded with a KW coilovers.
The RM460 Genesis Coupe rides 20-inch wheels wrapped with Toyo T1R tires and an industry-leading high-performance braking system by StopTech.
On the outside, the RMR RM460 Genesis Coupe will feature a RMR Signature Edition kit, a carbon fiber spoiler and custom carbon fiber rear hatch. Inside the vehicle will have Sparco Chrono sports seats, Sparco Alcantara and carbon fiber interior panels, and Infinity Kappa Perfect Speakers and power amplifier.
