Seven were killed and another person was injured after two-car crash on the Hyderabad-Srisailam highway near Chennaram gate in Nagarkurnool district, Telangana on Friday evening.
The crash occurred around 6.30 p.m. between Hajipur and Dindi after an over-speeding Toyota Etios car crashed into a Ford Figo coming in the opposite direction.
Etios car, which was travelling towards Srisailam from Hyderabad, was running in the wrong direction and crashed into another car coming in the right path. Ford Figo was going towards the State capital from Srisailam.
All four passengers in the Ford Figo and three in the Etois were pronounced dead at the scene
Another person travelling in the Etios vehicle suffered serious injuries and was taken to a nearby hospital.
