The Sil Limousine had been the symbol of Soviet transportation power in the bygone days. The Russian President Dmitry Medvedev is taking steps to revive that standard of the car. He has ordered this car to be used for his personal official purpose as well as all other government officials and diplomats also are to use the same model for their official work. The design bureau of this car, Slava Saakyan which has been named after its founder has therefore started forming up dreams of what the future is going to be.

Saakyan have designed the new Zil which is the base model incorporated with some new features. The car this time is secure as it has done away with the rear window which was an easy point of access for probable assassins; as well the car is comfortable. The newly creased edges have also been cleaned up in the modern design of the Zil.

The Zil has as its competitor in the Marussia from turning into the government approved and used vehicle. Vladimir Kozhin, who heads the presidential property department, stated that it is only at discussion stages this entire venture of the Zil as the presidential vehicle. The discussion has been initiated at the behest of the president as per him.

The discussion and news of this stage is just the start of the long process of the actual launch of the vehicle. The next stage is the concept vehicle coming up which should have a V8 engine or something more powerful revving it up.
