Mercedes Benz surely has a lot to offer car enthusiasts this year. The German automaker has already unveiled many of the models which includes the refreshed C Class, the new C Class Coupe along with their respective AMG counterpart. Then there also is the brand new SLK hardtop roadster. Of course that’s not the most comprehensive list and there are many more surprises to come from the Stuttgart based company. The new models are to be unleashed this year include the next generation M Class SUV that caught the attention of Carscoop reader Gal Leiboviciduring while on a recent trip to Germany. In fact, Gal was able to pick up two different prototypes of the same M Class sedans on two separate occasions.
The last time the 2012 version of the M Class was in news, it was under AMG guise. The clothing was complemented by the freshly developed twin turbocharged 5.5 liter V8 engine of the Mercedes which is believed to have a power rating of around 530 horsepower. Mercedes has The German company has come up with some new gasoline engines that comprise of 3.5 liter V6 and 4.6 liter V8 engines among others. These will be complemented with the traditional set of V6 diesel options as well while there’s also likely to be a new hybrid engine to be made available as well.
However, there is no information as to when the latest Mercedes model in the premium SUV category will make it debut. The nearest that is known is that its going to happen towards the later half of 2011, with the Frankfurt Motor show to be held in September that is expected to be the probable venue for the newest M-Class to break cover.
