SSC Tuatara plans for production, engine rated at 1350 bhp

by SpeedLux

SSC North America has recently made an announcement that they have completed testing SSC Tuatara with the newly-developed twin-turbo V8 engine. This means that the model may enter the production phase very soon.

The model comes with 423 cubic inches (6.9-liters) twin-turbo V8 engine which is capable of generating massive 1,350 bhp (1007 kW) and 1280 lb-ft (1733 Nm) of torque when running on 91 octane fuel. Not only that, the company also claims that the engine is capable of even exceeding 1700 HP (1268 kW).

Despite being such a powerful vehicle, the company has said that the Tuatara will be amazingly docile and will offer incredible daily drivable characteristics that truly mask the savage beast within.

SSC founder Jerod Shelby stated that the Tuatara is an amazing versatile package and it can easily be driven on a daily basis in any climate or environment in the world and it also has that much capability that at the same time can roll out of the pit area onto a track like Nurburgring and easily handle any rigors that record will require.

We have to say this is one of the finest models ever seen and the car lovers would be waiting desperately as to when the car will enter production and will be offered for sale so that they can have a fast and exciting experience.
