Subaru have recently revealed their all new XV crossover model. The model concept had been earlier showcased in April at the Shanghai Motor Show. Subaru is looking to increase its market share in the United Kingdom region with their new cars which include the XV crossover and the new BRZ coupe. These cars will face stiff competition from Audi Q3, BMW X1 and the new Toyota FT-86 models.
The Subaru XV crossover features stylized headlamps and an improved trapezium shaped front grille. The car has a four wheel drive and provides good off-road driving as well. Subaru has made an effort this time to improve the car interior design which has always been their weak point.
The car interior receives a simplistic dashboard which has three central dials for changing the climate conditions inside the vehicle. It has been speculated that an LCD screen would be provided with some of the new Subarus that will help to monitor “ecodriving” mode and display driver profile etc.
Under the Hood, the XV crossover will offer 2.0 and 1.6-liter displacement four cylinder petrol engines. Subaru has introduced a new start-stop system with these engines that save times while restarting the engine. They have also made minor improvements in other components that supposedly incres engine efficiency by 7 per cent. The diesel engine will also be offered that produces an output of 148 Horse power and 350 N-m of torque.
It has been speculated that the new Subaru XV crossover petrol model would be priced at around 23,000 pounds.
