As we have reported to you before, the Japanese automaker, Subaru, seems to be trying really hard to get the most out of the currently lasting 2015 Tokyo Auto Salon event. The company just never seems to get tired of introducing new vehicle models over and over again. It seems to be very persistent instead. This time, the automaker has decided to introduce its 2015 model year BRZ GT300.
The vehicle mentioned above is meant to take part in the Super GT championship series. Subaru is representing the car as a more advanced evolution of the very model that it introduced a year ago. Unfortunately, so far, the Japanese automaker in charge of manufacturing the car has very little to say. Yet, since the car tries to get onto center stage at the 2015 Tokyo Auto Salon, it is easy to see that it comes with the WR Blue Pearl paint finish for its exterior. That is not the only thing we can tell about the vehicle, though. It is also seen wearing an aerodynamic body kit. Other visible components include the AP racing brakes and suspensions that have been specifically tuned for track use. The BRZ GT300 firmly sits on 18-inch wheels from BBS, one of the world’s best wheel manufacturers.
Taking into account the fact that this very vehicle is meant to be a racecar, the Japanese company has removed all unnecessary sets of equipment from the 2015 Subaru BRZ GT300. Instead, it has installed Recaro sports seats, special instrument cluster designed for a racecar and also a racing style steering wheel.
The car will also come with a 2.0L engine under the hood, capable of spitting out no less than 350 PS in terms of power and 441 Nm in terms of torque. With that being said, it should be a feared contender for its competitors in the Super GT championship series.
