Suspect takes away patrol car, leads local agencies on multi-county chase

A suspect has actually been shot after leading cops on a multi-county chase in a Bartow County patrol automobile.

Cherokee County authorities stated the chase started in Bartow after a call of a suspect breaking into automobiles at the Bartow-Cherokee county line.

In some way the suspect jumped in the Bartow team car and led officers into Cherokee County – getting hold of the attention of numerous firms.

The chase ended on Highway 92 at Dixie Drive around 8:20 p.m. where a Cobb officer rammed the taken automobile.

The suspect then jumped out of the automobile and was shot but has survived his injuries. He was taken to an area medical facility.

Georgia State Patrol is now managing the wreck examination and the Georgia Bureau of Investigation in dealing with the shooting.

The Cobb Police Department, Bartow County Sheriff’s Office, Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office and GSP have been involved in the chase.
