For those who probably have not heard just yet, one of the most powerful vehicles from the British manufacturer McLaren, the P1, has been appearing in special edition versions all over the world. One of these special edition versions is a P1 painted in the Gotham Black color. This time, it is the Taiwanese crowds that get the opportunity to see the car first hand.
Available in the British company’s dealership in Taiwan, this car looks very masculine and it sits very firmly on a set of alloy wheels painted in gold. Yes, there have been other examples of the McLaren P1 painted in black in the past years. However, thanks to its gold wheels, this one in Taiwan looks distinctive and classier than the previous versions of the P1 supercar.
Of course, the only thing interesting about this car in particular is not its paint alone. The car also sports blue metallic flakes in addition to dozens of carbon fiber components, including its rear wing, side skirts, front bumper/splitter and carbon fiber doors.
Speaking of this particular supercar from Britain, it is capable of offering an acceleration time of just 3 seconds to go from 0 to 100, 7 seconds to reach 200 and just 17 seconds to run from 0 to 300 km/h. It is the KERS – also known as the Instant Power Assist System (IPAS) – technology used by the British automaker. This makes the McLaren P1 even faster than the company’s legendary supercar, the McLaren F1. The top speed, however, is limited electrically to 350 km/h.
It seems that the people at Taiwan, especially fans of the McLaren brand, will be very glad.
Besides the Gotham Black McLaren P1, at the moment, the company is also displaying the McLaren 625C at its dealership. The latter is a special edition that only customers in the Asian markets can get their hands on.
