Three dead after two-vehicle crash in Miramichi

Three people have died following a two-vehicle accident in Miramichi on Tuesday evening. 

Officials responded to the crash at 5:13 p.m. on Route 11.

A 68-year-old male and 65-year-old female from Smiths Crossing and a 21-year-old male from Miramichi were pronounced at the scene.

Police have not revealed the identity of the victims, pending notification of family members.

It is yet to be known what caused the crash.

The highway was shut for some hours.

The crash is currently being investigated by Miramichi police.
