Three killed after car crash in Christian County

Three people were killed and one person is seriously injured after a Monday afternoon crash in Christian County, Illinois.

The crash took place at 1400N and 2500E road, two miles north of Assumption when two vehicles entered the intersection and crashed.

One vehicle was a freightliner grain truck and another vehicle was a mid-sized car.

The farm truck’s two occupants were pronounced dead on the scene.

The passenger of the car also died but the driver was flown to hospital.

The car driver’s condition is serious.

Illinois State Police is investigating the crash.
