Three killed after a car crash in New Orleans East

A car crash killed three people in New Orleans East, on Saturday evening.

The crash took place around 6 p.m. at the intersection of Morrison Road and Gannon, according to the New Orleans Police Department.

An adult male, adult female and a young female child were discovered dead inside the vehicle.

A passerby saw the car in a canal and notified police.

The names of the deceased are yet to be revealed.

The Orleans Parish Coroner will reveal the results of an autopsy.
