Three killed after car crashes into snow in Maryland

Three people were killed and one person was critically injured after a car crashed in the back of a snowplow in Montgomery County, Maryland on Monday evening.

Montgomery County (MD) Fire & Rescue attended the crash which took place on northbound Route 29 Columbia Pike in Burtonsville at 6:45 p.m.

Three of the victims were trapped in the vehicle. The roadway was closed as crews worked to evacuate them.

Two women and one man were pronounced dead at the scene.

One man was admitted to the hospital in critical condition.

None of the victims have been identified as of yet.
