Three people killed in car crash in Fort Wayne, Indiana

Three people were killed following a car accident on the south side of Fort Wayne around 12:30 this morning.

Police were initially informed of an incident involving a drunken man at home in the 2500 block of Hovelwood Drive. Police then found the man sitting in the car and attempted to contact him, but the driver took off from Paulding Road at a high rate of speed.

While driving on Paulding Road, police officers lost sight of the automobile. After some time, the driver lost control of the vehicle near the intersection of Paulding Road and Hannah Street and crashed with poles, trees, houses and gas pipes.

All of three crew members of the vehicle were pronounced dead at the scene.

The investigation is ongoing to the incident.
