Two dead after head-on car crash in Colorado

Two people died in a head-on car crash on Highway 24 and Palomino Drive, west of Calhan in Colorado on Friday.

Colorado State Patrol says a Subaru heading east crossed into the westbound lanes and struck another Subaru going west.

The driver of the Subaru heading east was a 20-year-old man from Calhan. He was pronounced died at the scene.

The driver of the westbound Subaru was also pronounced dead at the scene as well. She was from Colorado Springs.

CSP had the road closed and detoured drivers for more than three hours.

The identities of the involved haven’t been released yet.
