Two dead after head-on car crash in Butler County

Two people were killed after a head-on car crash on Tuesday afternoon in Butler County, Nebraska.

The crash took place around 3 p.m. on Highway 64, just east of Bellwood, according to Butler County Sheriff’s Office.

The drivers of both vehicles were pronounced dead at the scene.

There were no other occupants in the vehicles.

Both victims were from Butler County.

The identities of the victims are withheld pending notification to their families.

It is yet to be known what caused the crash.
