Two dead, three injured after car crash in Platte County

Two people were killed and three others were injured after a two-vehicle crash at Missouri 92 near B Highway.

Officials responded to the crash around 9:47 a.m.

The crash took place when a 2003 Chrysler Town and Country traveled westbound on Missouri 92 when it left the shoulder of the road and went into the eastbound lane, hitting a 2021 Ford Edge.

The 37-year-old driver of the Chrysler, and a 14-year-old passenger, were pronounced dead at the scene.

Both were not using seatbelts.

A 6-year-old boy and a 5-year-old girl were admitted to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The 67-year-old driver of the Ford Edge was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries.

The crash is currently under investigation by Platte County Sheriff’s Office.
