Two killed after car crash on I-70 in St. Charles County

Two people were killed on Sunday morning after a car crash in St. Charles County, Missouri.

A 55-year-old identified as Larry Larsen, of O’Fallon, Missouri, was moving westbound on Interstate 70, at about 2:20 a.m.

He was following another car too closely and ended up hitting it from behind.

The passenger of the second car, a 61-year-old identified as Kristi Anderson of West Des Moines, Iowa, was ejected from the vehicle.

The two vehicles continued westbound before traveling off the road and into an embankment.

The second car overturned, and the driver, a 59-year-old identified as Steven Anderson of West Des Moines, was ejected.

The Andersons were pronounced dead at the scene.

Larsen was not injured. crash.

He has been arrested for driving while intoxicated resulting in the death of two or more people.

Currently, he is being held at the St. Charles County Jail.

Missouri State Highway Patrol investigated the crash.
