Two killed after car crashes with Brightline train in Aventura, Florida

Two died after a car crashed with a Brightline train occupied by commuters on Thursday in Aventura, Florida.

The crash took place when a Toyota tried to cross the train tracks about 6 a.m. at 214th Street and Dixie Highway.

The car was left damaged near the tracks just over the Broward County line.

There were no injuries involving the occupants of the train.

Aventura Police Department is investigating the crash.
