Two killed after head-on car crash near Wisner

Two people were killed in a fatal head-on crash on U.S. Highway 275 east of Wisner in Nebraska on Wednesday night.

The crash took place when a minivan driven by a 56-year-old identified as Lance Arthaloney, crashed head-on with a car driven by a 51-year-old man.

Both vehicles were engulfed after the crash, which killed Arthaloney and a passenger in the car identified as Martha Rodriguez, 60.

The car’s driver was flown to a hospital in Sioux City.

The highway between Wisner and Beemer was closed for about three hours after the crash.

Cuming County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the crash.
