Two killed after head-on car crash in Osceola County

Two people died in a car crash on Wednesday afternoon in Osceola County, Florida.

The crash took place at the intersection of Pleasant Hill Road and Suzette Drive involving two vehicles.

Two people were pronounced dead on the scene.

A third person was admitted to the hospital in serious condition.

The crash took place when a sedan driven by a 17-year-old Clermont boy was northbound on Pleasant Hill Road. The vehicle then veered onto the shoulder and over-corrected into the southbound lanes, according to Florida Highway Patrol.

The front of another sedan traveling southbound hit the passenger side of the northbound sedan, pushing it into a pole.

Both the 17-year-old driver and a passenger identified a 17-year-old boy from Kissimmee, were pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the second sedan had to be flown to the hospital. She has been identified only as a 27-year-old woman from Kissimmee.

The southbound lanes of Pleasant Hill Road were closed as the investigation continued. The lanes were later reopened.
