Two men were killed on Thursday morning after the car in which they were traveling ran off the roadway and struck a tree in southeast Marion County, Florida.

Crash took place when a Chrysler Town & Country minivan was traveling west on County Road 464C and it veered to the left and off the two-lane roadway onto the shoulder.

The two who died include the driver of the vehicle who was a 50-year-old man from Keystone Heights and his passenger was a 37-year-old man from Bell.

Florida Highway Patrol investigated the crash and said speed was the factor in the crash as the car was driving above the speed limit of the area.
