Two killed after wrong-way car crash in Jacksonville

A driver and passenger died after their car was hit by a pickup truck on Friday morning on Wilson Boulevard, in Jacksonville, Florida.

Officials were notified of the crash at the intersection of Wilson Boulevard and I-295 just after midnight.

The crash took place when a white pickup truck was traveling eastbound in the westbound lanes of Wilson Boulevard and it crashed with a gray sedan.

The driver of the pickup had small injuries.

The driver and passenger of the sedan were pronounced dead at the scene.

After the crash, the lanes on Wilson Boulevard and the south-bound exit ramp from I-295 to Wilson Boulevard were closed but were later resumed reopened.
