Police say two teenagers were died in a car crash in Peachtree City, Georgia on Saturday night.

Peachtree City Police said the car crash took place around 7:30 p.m. at the intersection of Robinson and Kimmer roads.

When police attended the scene, they saw a small car was on fire and an SUV was also starting to catch fire.

Both people inside the car died at the scene. Police have identified them as local teens who were 19 and 16 years old.

Their names have not been revealed as of yet.

The driver of the SUV was able to flee with his two children before that vehicle caught fire. One of the SUV passengers sustained non-life-threatening injuries.

Investigators said they believe the 19-year-old driver lost control of his vehicle and crossed into oncoming traffic, stricking the SUV.

Police said speed could be a factor in the crash, but the investigation is ongoing.
