The new Skoda Octavia is a very useful and people friendly car for all the buyers alike. The Octavia is used and relied-upon by many but albeit in different avatar.

Its prices for the UK has been announced and it is affordable since it starts at £15,990 for petrol-engined models, rising to £18,040 for the diesels.

The main engine for the UK market will be the 105 hp 1.2-liter TSI unit, which can garner 57.7 mpg, and emit just 114 g/km of CO2. For the larger 1.4-liter unit, with 138 hp, efficiency is partially affected, as it returns 53.3 mpg on the combined cycle – emissions rise to 121 g/km.

The main diesel engine, the 1.6-liter TDI unit, has 105 hp at its disposal, and returns 74.3 mpg, emitting just under 100 g/km of CO2. The larger diesel, also a very known unit, the 2.0-liter TDI, with 148 hp returns a very remarkable 68.2 mpg and emits just 106 g/km of CO2.

If in case there is need to ramp up the Octavia, Skoda offers plenty of kits, like 17-inch alloys, alcantara and leather upholstery, cruise control and speed limiter, rain sensing wipers and automatic headlights, to begin with. Touchscreen satellite navigation is also an option, along with a panoramic glass roof and a lot more.

Car performance and features remain unknown yet so it would be wait and watch policy for us till we get this information.

Till then enjoy the picture gallery.
