2009 Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 is an impressive supercar, it can outperform exotic supercars from Germany and Italy that cost 2-3 times more than the $100,000+ ZR1.
This time the ZR1 is not going against another supercar, but an F/A-18 Hornet from the Blue Angels squad.
Corvette ZR1 has 638 horsepower and sprints from 0-60 mph (0-96 km/h) in 3.3 seconds and has a top speed of 205+ mph (330 km/h).
Blue Angels F/A-18 Hornet fighter jet has two General Electric F404-GE-402 turbofans and at 40,000 ft(12,190 m) has a maximum speed of (1,190 mph, 1,915 km/h).
MotorTrend rules for the race were simple: first one to hit the one-mile mark is the winner.
Take a look at the Blue Devil vs Blue Angel video below:
Surely it is an impressive video footage, but personally I like the Top Gear’s Bugatti Veyron vs Euro Fighter Typhoon Drag Race more. It is more entertaining and the camera job is way better.
