Following a recent calendar reveal, Formula E organizers have now announced the ninth team which will participate in the first season that is scheduled to commence on September 13 next year with the first round being held in Beijing, China. UK-based Virgin is the penultimate team to confirm its entry and will be headed by team principal Alex Tai with support coming from Virgin founder Richard Branson.

Just to recap, the other eight teams that have already confirmed their Formula E entry are: Andretti Autosport, Dragon Racing, China Racing, Super Aguri, Mahindra Racing, Drayson Racing, e.dams and Audi Sport ABT. As stated earlier by the organizers, there will be in all 10 teams and 20 drives that will participate in the entire season which has 10 rounds spread over 2014 and 2015 and across the world.

This means now only one team is left to be announced which we can expect to happen soon anytime, and all of them are going to race with the 268 hp Spark-Renault SRT_01E.
