Volkswagen Polo crossover concept could debut in Geneva – report

by SpeedLux

As per a latest report, Volkswagen may decide to introduce a Polo crossover concept at the Geneva Motor Show to be held in March.

Not much detail is available about the concept at this moment but Autobild is reporting that it will preview a production model that will be launched in 2016 and will carry a base price of around €20,000.

Engine options remain unconfirmed but again the report from the same magazine claims that choices will include:
• 1.0-liter three-cylinder engine with output of 110 HP (81 kW) and 175 Nm (129 lb-ft) of torque
• 1.4-liter TSI mill producing 150 HP (110 kW) and 250 Nm (184 lb-ft) of torque
• 1.8-liter TSI engine with an output of 185 HP (136 kW) and 280 Nm (206 lb-ft) of torque
• 1.4-liter TDI engine with outputs of 90 HP (66 kW) and 105 HP (77 kW)
• 2.0-liter TDI mill with outputs of 150 HP (110 kW) and 184 HP (135 kW)

There are chances that we get to see an R variant with a turbo charged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that generates an output of approximately 220 HP (161 kW).
