Volkswagen will recall 13 models and 340,000 vehicles in India based on an worldwide recall to replace a software that helped the automaker to pass emission tests.

The models to be recalled are Volkswagen’s hatchback Polo and sedans such as Vento, Jetta, Passat; Skoda’s Fabia hatchback, Yeti SUV and sedans such as Quick, Laura and Superb; and Audi’s A4 and A6 sedans aside from Q3 and Q5 SUVs.
“A great deal of these cars are the previous generation ones which are already out of production/ sale,” the company representative stated.
There is nothing confirmed on the timeframe for the recall procedure to be finished.
