Volkswagen is seeking over 100 million euros ($112 million) in damages from their former supplier Prevent, it stated on Tuesday, adding it had submitted the first claim for one of its subsidiaries.

The row dates back to 2016 when providers ES Guss and Car Trim stopped supplies shortly after being acquired by Prevent in a bid to increase prices, resulting in production losses at six of Volkswagen’s factories in Germany.

Volkswagen has filed a first claim regarding its Skoda unit with the Brunswick regional court, it stated, adding that the Dresden higher regional court would figure out which courts are responsible for further damage claims.

Prevent stated it didn’t have a copy of the suit and couldn’t discuss at the moment.

Prevent in November filed a lawsuit against Volkswagen claiming damages of over $750 million.
