Woman dies when car overturns in Pickens, South Carolina

An Easley woman died in a single-vehicle crash Wednesday afternoon in Pickens County, according to Cpl. Matt Southern, with the South Carolina Highway Patrol.

The accident took place just after 3:30 p.m. on Prince Perry Road near BJ Drive, Southern said.

The officials identified the driver as Diana Tate Burdsal, 63, of Easley.

According to Southern, Burdsal of the SUV was traveling north when she veered off the right side of the road, overcorrected veering off the left side of the road then striking a culvert and overturning.

Burdsal was wearing a seatbelt, Southern said.
