The new Giulietta being launched by Alfa Romeo would have a 140 hp diesel 2.0 JTDM-2 engine. The car would also be fitted with the Alfa TCT twin clutch automatic gearbox. There would be another version that would have the 1.4 MultiAirtubo petrol engine that would develop 170 hp. This model would also have the same TCT transmission system. The 140 hp engine fitted version has an emission level of 119 gm per km of CO2 and its fuel consumption rate is 4.5 liter per 100 km or 52.2 mpg. That is the reading on a combined cycle. The other version has a 121 gm per km CO2 emission. The car in both variants have completed their Euro NCAP tests successfully and Alfa Romeo have claimed the car to be the safest car in the compact genre.
There would be two other versions of the car coming out in the near future of which one would be having a distinctive 1.6 JTDM engine delivering 105 hp while the other would be the Quadrifoglio Verde with a 235 hp 1750 TBi engine. The Paris Show has an entry of these cars from Alfa Romeo. The 105 hp Distinctive gives a fuel consumption of 3.7 liter per 100 km or 63.5 mpg. This makes it an eco-friendly car with a diesel engine. The higher fuel efficiency is obtained with a combination of MultiJet 2 technology and the Start / Stop system.
The highest ever Alfa Romeo production engine is the one that is installed on the other model. We would also be able to see a Giulietta installed with a Blue & Me – TomTom. This is a portable infotainment system that has been integrated into the car. One can use it for navigation as also voice control of the steering wheel and phone as well.
