SMS Supercars has released first photos and details of the 2010 SMS 620 Camaro, which will go on sale in the second quarter of 2010.
There will be two engine choices available. 6.2-liter V8 engine that produces 575 hp and 600 ft-lb of torque and a more powerful 6.2-liter V8 with all new internals and CNC headwork, that delivers a stunning 715 hp and 700 ft-lb. This model will be called SMS 620X Camaro.
Both engines use the SMS 296™ Supercharger mated to either a 6-speed automatic or 6-speed manual transmission.
The SMS 620 Camaro accelerates from 0 to 60 mph in under 4.3 seconds, while the more powerful SMS 620X Camaro does it in around 4.0 seconds.
The 620X also features Magneto-Rheological Semi-Active Dampers, SMS 16″ 8-piston front and 14″ 6-piston rear brakes, Torvec Isotorque Differential and 21″ rear wheels for improved handling, braking and road holding.
The SMS 620 Camaro has a striking design that makes it stand out in the market. Interior highlights include high performance gauges and all-new Alcantara and leather SMS performance seats that feature Signature Series chevron stripes.
