Nothing could be better than getting the two muscle car maniacs viz. Carroll Shelby and Jack Roush work together on a Ford Mustang. You would be excited to hear that this is exactly what is happening. The two muscle car maniacs have come together to bring us the special edition SR-71 Mustang.

The SR-71 “Blackbird” seems to be the inspiring factor this particular vehicle i.e. SR-71 Mustang. The “Blackbird” was built by Lockheed Martin and is a long-range reconnaissance USAF aircraft. The car is expected to be auctioned on Thursday, July 29th. All of the proceeds resulting from the auction would be going to the Young Eagles Auction.

The SR-71 Mustang is named using initials of Shelby and Rosh (S for Shelby, R for Roush). The embroidered signatures of Jack Roush and Carroll Shelby can be found right on the exclusive racing seats of the car. The vehicle would also be jam packed with peculiar and unparalleled features.

An all-new aluminum block 5.0-liter Ti-VCT V8 engine would power the car. The engine has been fine tuned with a 2.3-liter Whipple Twin Screw Supercharger with Ford Racing calibration and Roush intake. The cosmetic improvement would feature a unique non-production matte and silver exterior paint treatment with SR-71 cues. The other cosmetic upgrades include a glass roof with unique graphic treatment, 19″ SVT Track Pack wheels in custom paint, and Ford Racing tuned exhaust and tips.
