Jaguar XE Roadster coming, confirms Tata Motors CEO Carl-Peter Forster

by Alex

Automobilwoche, the German trade paper, has reported that Tata Motors CEO Carl-Peter Forster recently announced Jaguar has given the green signal to the replacement for the X-Type as well also the ‘F-Type’ roadster. The trade paper has further reported that both models would have “several variations” quoting the CEO.

Forster also disclosed that company has planned for an XF estate car and a long wheel base XF car. Company intends to introduce both the cars in the Chinese market. Presently, Jaguar is participating in a global market where most analysts, however, are predicting consumers to go for downsized cars. Every premium carmaker considers it of the essence to be able to compete in the BMW 3-series market sector.

Even though the work on the X-Type replacement and “small sports car” has advanced enough, there is no news or update available on the platform for either of the cars. However, car experts are of the opinion that Jaguar is currently exerting effort in order to make a new-generation medium-size rear-drive car. It is also believed by experts that the aluminum platform would corroborate the new X-Type, the F-Type and the replacement for the existing XF.
