2011 Opel Astra GTC By Irmscher: Frankfurt Preview

The German tuner Irmscher is one of the first to get its hands on the new generation of the Astra GTC. The tuner reveals some details on its customization program ahead of the car’s world premiere at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September.

The brand-new tuning kit for the Opel Astra GTC includes a power boost and aerodynamic modifications for the body. It comes with a new front grille to the GTC, a front spoiler with lip, roof spoiler, a rear diffuser and the quad exhaust, fitted by Irmscher.

Next to aerodynamic modifications for the body, comes a with a performance package for the Astra GTC with the 1.6-liter turbocharged gasoline engine. A stage 1 kit lifts output from 180-horses and 230Nm to 212HP and 274 Nm (202 lb-ft).

As expected, being a tuning kit for a popular hatchback, the German tuner couldn’t forget the new rims, 21 inch alloys in this case, sitting on 245 sized tires. Customer can choose from several alloy wheel designs in sizes up to 21 inches.

For more stability and for a better ride, the suspension has been lowered by 30 mm. Also, exhaust exits through a stainless-steel system with new quad exhaust tips.

Beside this, the interior gets a “touch” of Irmscher with fine leather, aluminum trim and pedals.

The German tuner has not yet published details about the price.
