2012 BMW 1-Series M Coupe By Romeo Ferraris Revealed: Official Specs, Photos and Video

For many people, the new BMW 1-Series M Coupe is perfect as it is. However, its 335-horsepower version of the automaker’s twin-turbocharged inline six-cylinder gasoline engine isn’t powerful enough for some of its owners, so as some of you might know, BMW‘s hot little 1-Series M Coupe has been getting plenty of attention from a variety of tuners these days including Eisenmann, Revozport and Manhart Racing, but and the kits keep coming. This car received a new tuning program from the Milan-based tuner Romeo Ferraris who gave it a “touch of exclusivity”, boosting its power from 340 to almost 400 HP.

Romeo Ferraris has opted to remap the new twin-turbocharged, three-liter engine to 392 horsepower at 5.900 rpm and a peak torque of 530 Nm, available between 1.500 and 4.500 rpm, 80 Nm more than the standard 450. In addition to that comes a new 85 mm high-performance exhaust system that provides for the elimination of pre-catalysts and four output terminals while the ECU has been remapped.

So far, the Italian tuner has not provided a price for their BMW 1-Series M Coupe tuning kit, but the kit might be one of the cheapest available on the market yet, at least according to some rumors.
